Spanish food group Ebro Puleva has signed an agreement with the Internet portal Terra Lycos making it both a sponsor and supplier of information to the site.
The company will provide a variety of information about food, nutrition and health to consumers visiting the site, focusing in particular on products such as dairy foods, rice and sugar.
The agreement also means that Puleva will be able to link its own health food website, www.pulevasalud.com, to the Terra site. The site, which also covers a range of topics related to food and health, is supported by a number of medical and health-related organisations in Spain.
With the addition of Ebro Puleva to its sponsors, Terra will strengthen its position as Spain's leading food and gastronomy consumer website. It has already received the support of supermarket chain El Corte Ingles and of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and can count the Spanish Nutrition Foundation and the Spanish Academy of Gastronomy among its information providers.
Ebro Puleva's president, José Manuel Fernández Norniella, told Europa Press that the company's experience in this sector, as well as the strength of its brands such as Puleva, Azucarera and Herba, made it an excellent source of information on food and nutrition. The Terra platform, he said, would allow the company to spread this message to a wider group of consumers.
