Global food fair Anuga has developed a new trade fair concept that focuses on ten strong food sectors. One such sector is Anuga Dairy, which focuses on milk and dairy products. Organisers say that the sub-sector also fulfils the needs of suppliers of milk and dairy products.
Anuga 2001 attracted suppliers from 28 countries for this segment alone. The proportion of suppliers from abroad was 82 per cent. More than 36,000 trade visitors were registered at the milk and dairy product exhibition segment, including buyers from the trade, catering sector, system catering and institutional/communal catering.
Numerous companies have already registered to exhibit at Anuga Dairy. These include Bauer, BMI Bayerische, Milchwerke, Hochwald Nahrungsmittel-Werke, Nordmilch, Omira/Neuburger and Starmilch. Some of the foreign companies that have already registered include Arla, Campina, Emmi, Friesland Coberco, Kerry Gold and US Dairy.
Innovations and trends will be presented at various levels throughout the event - in trend shows, for example - which organisers believe will underline Anuga Dairy's importance as a national and international communication and order platform.
Anuga Dairy will be situated within close proximity to Anuga's other trade fairs, but will be clearly identified and located in a separate area within the Cologne exhibition centre. Trade buyers will therefore quickly be able to find their way to Anuga Dairy and also pay a visit to Anuga Meat, Anuga Frozen Food and Anuga Chilled Food.
The symbols for the individual food fairs at Anuga will be used in all communication channels. An icon featuring a milk bottle and a block of cheese will lead visitors to Anuga Dairy.
Anuga takes place over five days from 11 October to 15 October 2003. With around 6,000 suppliers from approximately 100 countries, the organisers believe that the event offers an excellent international information and order platform for buyers from the food and drink industry.
