Cathedral City cheddar brand valued at £250m

Cathedral City cheddar cheese brand has been valued at £250m – a first for any UK brand in the pre-packed cheese category, owner Dairy Crest has claimed.

According to the UK-based dairy co-operative, Cathedral City’s value is more than four time greater than its closest competitor.

“We are delighted to have reached this £250m value milestone, demonstrating Cathedral City’s ability to continue to grow successfully delivering on quality and consumer demand, as we have done for over 15 years. We take our position as the nation’s favourite very seriously,” said Cathedral City marketing manager Jackie Wilson.
