SPX to provide dairy processing system for baby food factory

SPX Corporation has been awarded a contract worth more than $28m to help Biocom Ltd establish a baby food factory in Belarus. 

Biocom expects the Nesvizh Baby Food Factory will be export-orientated with the capacity to process 500 tons of milk a day. Products will include liquid baby food, yogurts, cottage cheese and milk.

SPX will provide Biocom with a turnkey dairy processing system that includes ultrafiltration and infusion technologies. The factory will become fully operational in late 2015 or 2016.
