Molkerei Ammerland joins GlobalDairyTrade with sweet whey offering
Molkerei Ammerland joins Amul, Arla Foods, DairyAmerica, Euroserum, Fonterra, Land O’Lakes, and Murray Goulburn on the ever-expanding, Fonterra-owned auction platform.
From September 2014, Molkerei Ammerland will offer sweet whey powder - an addition Paul Grave, director, GlobalDairyTrade, believes will be welcomed by the New Zealand-based platform's registered buyers.
“GlobalDairyTrade is delighted to welcome Molkerei Ammerland as the latest new seller in our fortnightly auctions," said Grave.
"We believe the addition of sweet whey powder will also be welcomed by the network of over 650 registered buyers as we continue to expand GDT’s role as a key platform for international trade in a broad range of dairy commodities."
Commenting, Ralf Hinrichs, CEO, Molkerei Ammerland, said that exports, which already make up 49% of the German cooperative's sales, will become increasingly important as it increases its production capacity.
“GDT gives us the opportunity to access worldwide demand for dairy and to compete more effectively on the world stage. This announcement is good for Molkerei Ammerland, its farmers and other business partners,” said Hinrichs.
