Changes at DMK

The supervisory board of German dairy company DMK Deutsches Milchkontor GmbH has elected Heinz Korte as its new chairman.

Korte, 53, will be supervisory board chairman of DMK and Deutsche Milchkontor eG. He replaces Otto Lattwesen, who died as the result of an accident in December 2016, shortly before his 66th birthday.

The dairy farmer, from Bremervörde, Lower Saxony, said DMK is planning a fundamental reorientation in 2017 in order to deal with the consequences the severe milk market crisis.

DMK Ice Cream

DMK Ice Cream also sees changes, with new managing director Marcus-Dominic Hauck also taking on the post of chief operating officer from April 1, 2017.

Hauck, 42, has experience in the field, which he acquired at R&R Ice Cream in the role of director of marketing & sales Central Europe.

Following a move to gingerbread and chocolate manufacturer Lambertz-Gruppe as director of marketing and sales, his most recent position was managing director of Sinziger Mineralbrunnen.
