DIXY Group is a retail chain in Russia with 2,802 stores.
Ekaterina Kumanina, corporate and external communications director, DIXY Group, said the FSC label means the packaging is produced from forests managed in an environmentally and socially responsible way.
“We want to draw our customers’ attention to the issue of responsible use of natural resources with this logo,” she said.
According to Andrey Ptichnikov, executive director, FSC Russia, Tetra Pak FSC-certified packaging for DIXY products is manufactured with minimum damage for the environment.
The FSC forest certification scheme guarantees that the trees harvested to produce the cardboard are supplied from forests that are managed responsibly and will be renewed.
“People today study everything written on product packaging very carefully, and the choice DIXY has made is a good example of conveying the importance of this issue to consumers and generating responsible choices that every person can make in their daily life,” added Olga Ivanova, environment protection manager, Tetra Pak.
