The modules, based on the company’s own technology in dairy, beverages and prepared food processing, can be combined with a number of configurations, customized according to want a client wants.
Trials in Europe & Russia
Ola Elmqvist, VP, Business Unit Liquid Food, Tetra Pak said with the modular portfolio it can work with customers in a collaborative way.
“We start with detailed discussions about their business, such as the products they produce, their production process, running time, utility costs, and their short term, as well as long term goals,” said Elmqvist.
Tetra Pak has completed trials of the modular portfolio with customers in Europe and Russia.
Alexander Belyanov, director, OJSC (Open Joint Stock Company) Bogdanovich GMZ said it has worked with Tetra Pak on its Indirect UHT unit for dairy applications.
He said it worked with the company on concept development and new area design for a tailor-made processing line to improve plant performance.
More practical
”The new module approach was more convenient in terms of installation, efficiency and performance, plus, all the service media connections are mounted at the same place, making it more accessible and practical,” he said.
Any heating portfolio can be upgraded, for example to support a customer’s product expansion from milk and cream, to beverages with particles, or from baby food purée to a wider range of prepared food products.
