The company said it believes in not using animal products and looking after the environment, and the company is made up of a group of people who have been in the food industry for generations.
The joint venture between sustainable agriculture experts, nutritionists and food researchers brought Verys, after more than 10 years of research, to launch its products.
However, when it comes to testing its products, Verys told DairyReporter at the Cibus food event, in Parma, Italy last month, that they test their products not with vegans, but non-vegans, to satisfy all potential consumers, and to ensure their products are enjoyable by everyone, not just vegans.
The company can also produce products with labeling in any language for export, and its cheese alternatives include sliced, soft and spreadable products.
