The auction closes March 13 and 14.

Following the closure of Dutch dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina’s German factory in Gütersloh, Dutch auctioneers Industrial Auctions is selling some of the facility’s equipment.

The machinery includes pasteurizers, homogenizers, complete filling and packaging lines for desserts, heat exchangers, fruit-, processing- and progressive cavity pumps, silo installations, pallet wrappers and palletizing machines, all of which will be auctioned online.

Last year, FrieslandCampina announced a reorientation in the German market. Central to the strategic reorientation are investments in its main brands, such as Landliebe, Tuffi and Frico, consolidating all commercial activities in the vicinity of Düsseldorf and other measures to increase profitability. This resulted in the closure of the production site in Gütersloh.

Production of desserts for private labels that made up the largest part of the volume produced in Gütersloh has been discontinued, while other product lines have been transferred to sites in Cologne and Heilbronn, in Germany, and Maasdam in the Netherlands.
