Germany’s largest dairy cooperative, DMK Group (Deutsches Milchkontor), is presenting its new products and services for retailers at this year’s international trade fair PLMA, “World of Private Label” in Amsterdam May 21 and 22.

The DMK Private Label and DMK International business units will showcase new methods for private labels and contract manufacturing as well as showcasing its Dutch cheese and ice cream solutions to trade visitors.

DMK Private Label: insights to innovation

DMK Private Label will be presenting innovative products at PLMA 2019 as well as talking to visitors about insights, opportunities, trends and current topics such as sustainable packaging.

Thorsten Rodehüser, COO DMK Private Label, said, “In order to distinguish themselves in the face of intensified competition, dealers are currently repositioning themselves and their own brands. We support them as a partner with a 360-degree view on product assortments, trends and activation for the markets of the future.”

DMK said that through its trend management system, it can identify international trends at an early stage and determine their relevance for the German market. On this basis, it says private label products can be developed that match current consumer needs.

“Thus we have created added value that enables us to competently and individually advise dealers on their range of products and to develop tailor-made solutions,” Rodehüser said.

DMK International: services for private label and contract manufacturing

DMK International will present new products for current trends such as high-protein diets and the continuously increasing demand for lactose-free dairy products at the trade fair.

Michael Feller, COO of DMK International, said, “In context with our new alignment, we focus on international markets where we can realize added value with our knowhow and service.  We offer our customers a full service that ranges from the product idea through to packaging. This allows them to place their brands in our hands with confidence.”

DMK also has new concepts in the cheese sector. They will be presented at PLMA alongside DOC Dairy Partners. The focus is primarily on aspects such as added value concepts and responding to the demand for ‘regional products’ – especially in markets like the Netherlands.

In the contract manufacturing sector, DMK International is focusing on individual solutions for non-dairy bottling (such as iced tea or coconut milk).

The DMK Ice Cream division is also represented at the event.
