The certifications confirm Coralpack grease resistant papers can be composted at home or in an industrial facility and means Ahlstrom-Munksjö customers, including converters and brand owners, can apply the OK compost Label to their products.

Coralpack grease resistant papers are used to wrap grease-containing food products such as butter and margarine, fast food or microwave popcorn, for food protection and reducing grease stains on packaging.
It is made from virgin fibers and Coralpack wrapping papers are biodegradable and compostable. They range from 30 to 90 gsm, wet strength or not, available in white and unbleached versions.
Bakery, dairy, snacks
The OK compost Label is internationally recognized according to the EU standard EN13432. All tests are carried out at an independent laboratory certified and accredited to ISO 17025.
Compostable food wrapping materials are one example of how sustainable technology can contribute to reducing the environmental impact of packaging waste.
In addition to Coralpack papers, Ahlstrom-Munksjö manufactures specialty papers for sustainable food packaging, baking and other industrial applications. End-uses include bakery, fast food, cheese, sweets, popcorn, fruit and vegetables.
