Vinamilk's US dairy factory responds to pandemic
Since Covid-19 appeared in Vietnam, Vinamilk has contributed nearly VND 30bn ($1.3m) in the country through front-line activities and community support.
In addition to supporting the cost of purchasing medical biological devices for testing, the company has been donating products such as yogurt and milk.
Driftwood has provided milk to the LA food bank to support about 300,000 Americans every month. The free meals will be prioritized for children and the elderly, the rest will support the homeless.
Ngô Viết Sơn, general director of Driftwood, said, "The contribution of Driftwood is only a small part of the community's efforts. Thanks to the cooperation of all of us, there will be more people being helped because the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic is still ongoing.”
Founded in 1920, Driftwood, which produces milk, yogurt and juice, has a 100-year history in California. In 2013, Vinamilk acquired Driftwood Dairy Company, and in September 2019, Vinamilk invested an additional $10m to increase production and revenue.
