Marco Sweets & Spices, a US ice cream company, has launched with five flavors that incorporate diverse global ingredients.

Produced in Boonville, NY, each variety of Marco ice cream includes spices from Brooklyn Spice Company, based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

The five varieties are: Ginger Dreamsicle - orange and sweet cream with ginger and cardamom;  Vanilla Chai - traditional vanilla enhanced with chai, including cinnamon, ginger, fennel, cardamom, cloves, black pepper and Madagascar vanilla; Spicy PB Caramel – a peanut butter base accented with ribbons of salted caramel with chile de arbol and Aleppo pepper; Thai Coco-Lime - coconut and lime, with gochugaru chili powder; and Aztec Chocolate - chocolate with cinnamon, ancho chile and chile de arbol.

Marco pints are available in sets of four ($50; choice of any four flavors) or five ($55; choice of any five flavors) and ship directly to consumers in 35 states.

One per cent of sales is donated to One Acre Fund, a Kenya-based non-profit organization that provides smallholder farmers with asset-based financing and agriculture training services to reduce hunger and poverty.
