The company' is hoping to expand production for domestic consumption as well as exports.

A year-round milk processing plant is being constructed in the At-Bashy district of the Naryn Oblast in central Kyrgyzstan.

The country’s president, Sooronbai Jeenbekov visited the site and met with the founder of At-BashySut, Samar Omurakunov, who said the products will be sold on the domestic market and exported to Kazakhstan.  The company is also planning to start exporting products to the Russian market.

At-BashySut employs more than 50 people. Production capacity is currently 55 to 60 tons of finished products per season.

Due to the region’s climate, in fall and winter, the production of raw milk decreases sharply. The project is being developed and implemented at the dairy plant to build a complex that will ensure the production of safe and environmentally friendly dairy products year-round in accordance with international standards, and increase the volume of products.

To date, 5 hectares of land near the village of Kalinin have been allocated for the construction of the facility, which is already under way. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund provided funding as well as equipment from Russia, Turkey and Germany.

The President said environmentally friendly dairy products from Kyrgyzstan are fully competitive not only in the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union), but also in other countries, including China.
