Samail Industrial City attracts Omani dairy company

Oman’s Samail Industrial City has succeeded in attracting Al Habib Food Industries, which specializes in the production of milk and its derivatives, in a record time of 30 minutes after receiving the investment application on Madayn's website.

The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates, today known as Madayn, was established in 1993 in continuity of the industrial march that began in the Sultanate with the establishment of Rusayl Industrial city in 1983. The success of Rusayl Industrial city encouraged the establishment of Madayn, which today manages and operates ​​​10 industrial cities in Sur, Suhar, Raysut, Nizwa, Buraimi, Rusayl, Samail,Ibri, Al Mudh​aibi, Mahas in addition to Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) and ​Al Mazunah Free Zone.

With capital of RO 500,000 ($1.3m), Al Habib Food Industries will set up the project on an area of 10,000 sqm.

Madayn is currently executing the design and implementation of infrastructure complementary projects in Samail Industrial City.

Among Madayn’s objectives are to attract foreign investments to the Sultanate, stimulate the private sector to achieve sustainable economic and social development, and boost advanced technology and develop employees’ skills and performance. It also aims to create new job opportunities and encourage exports and the establishment of export industries, while stimulating the economic sectors in the Sultanate.
