N!CK and Minecraft partner to launch ice cream
N!CK and Minecraft partner to launch ice cream

Swedish no-sugar confectionery maker N!CK partnered with the country’s globally-famous gamemakers Minecraft to launch four ice cream flavors, sold exclusively through nicks.com. Available in bundles or as 437ml pots, the ice creams come in four flavors – birthday-cake inspired Cake Blocka; apple pie flavored Enchanted Äpple Pie; peppermint and chocolate Emerald Minta, and chocolate and peanut butter cups Peanöt Choklad Glowdust. Sugar is substituted with sweetener (either stevia leaf extracts or erythritol), in line with N!CK’s portfolio of low and no-sugar substitutes.

Oddlygood Global, a spinoff of Finish food company Valio, has launched All-In Barista Oat Drink in the US as part of its portfolio of plant-based dairy alternatives. Created with input from baristas, the creamy, full-bodied drink froths well and can be used in hot or cold beverage and cooking. All-In Barista Oat Drink is gluten-free and contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners according to the company. 

All-In Barista Oat Drink is available in 1l cartons and has 3g of protein per one-cup serving; 290mg of calcium, 7g of total fat and zero added sugar. A one-cup serving has 150 calories.

Saputo Dairy UK brand Cathedral City is adding an extra mature cheddar with 30% fat to its low-fat range of block cheese.

The cheese is available in the UK from Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.

The Canadian subsidiary of France-based Lactalis Group has introduced the Khaas brand of ethnic yogurts, which targets the North American country’s South Asian, Middle Eastern and North African consumers. Two products are available -  Khaas Halal and Khaas Dahi. Both are gelatine-free and contain no artificial preservatives, with the former being certified Halal.

Khaas Halal and Dahi yogurt products are sold at major retailers and ethnic grocery stores across Canada in the following varieties and formats: 0%, 2%, and 3% milk fat in both 750g tubs and 2kg pouches.

Hackney Gelato has now received 40 Great Taste Stars, having just won nine more at the 2022 Great Taste Awards, while its ice creams are sold in retail and served at restaurant including Michelin-starred Brat, Manteca and Som Saa.

Now, the company has released Gingerbread, a fall-inspired, limited edition flavor available as a 460ml tub. On sale from online retailer Ocado, the ginger-and-spices-packed gelato is only available till the end of 2022.

Koita Foods’ organic almond and coconut drinks

The dairy and plant-based product manufacturer with roots in Chicago has released its Organic Almond, Organic Coconut and Organic Almond Coconut dairy-free milks to all Sprouts Farmers Market locations.

The company’s non-dairy drinks are made with organic almonds and coconuts and gluten-free and non-GMO. They are produced and packed in Italy, then shipped by sea to the US to ensure a low-carbon footprint.
