The popular peanut butter-based confectionery brand has released not one but seven products under a new range of freezer-friendly treats – including dairy ice creams and bars.
There are three types of ice creams to be sold in 1.5 quart tubs – Reese’s Peanut Butter Light Ice Cream, Reese’s Mini Pieces Light Ice Cream, and Reese’s Chocolate Frozen Dairy Dessert. All of these contain chunks of the company’s peanut butter cups and a peanut butter swirl, but their main flavor bases will be different – the Peanut Butter Light Ice Cream has a peanut butter base; the Mini Pieces Light product has a vanilla-flavored base, and the Chocolate Frozen Dairy Dessert has – you guessed it – a dairy chocolate base.
Also in the range are three multi-pack offerings - Reese’s Peanut Butter Sandwich, a pack of four 4oz treats; Reese’s Chocolate Cones, a pack of 8 peanut-butter flavored, chocolate-topped cones; Reese’s Peanut Butter Bar, and a chocolate and cake crumbs-coated frozen dessert.
Finally, there’s the 3.3oz Peanut Butter Frozen Dessert Cup, containing Reese’s peanut butter swirl ice cream and a chocolate coating that makes for a frozen dessert version of the miniaturized confectionery item.
The range is available in the US from January 2023.

Veganuary has arrived, and with that, a new vegan ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s. The concoction is an 'oatmeal crème pie' non-dairy frozen dessert with gluten-free oatmeal cookies by Partake, and marshmallow swirls. The certified-vegan and kosher dessert is shipping now and will appear on shelves across the US.
The flavor will join the full-time line-up of vegan ice creams by the Vermont-based manufacturer. This latest release contains a mix of water and roasted sunflower seeds which the manufacturer calls 'sunflower milk', as well as coconut oil, pea protein, corn starch, buckwheat flour, oats, isolated soy protein, and other ingredients. Per serving, the dessert packs 12g of fat, 80mg of sodium, and 29g of sugar.
While traditional kefir is a dairy-based drink, the clue is in the name here - UK-based PiQi’s newly-unveiled range offers vegan-certified water-based probiotic drinks that contain so-called kefir cultures. What the company has come up with is a kefir-inspired fermented sparkling beverage that’s said to boast ‘all the great gut health benefits of traditional kefir but without the dairy’. This includes 30 billion live cultures per bottle according to the manufacturer.
PiQi’s Water Kefir, sold in 750ml bottles, is made from water, ‘water kefir grains’ referred to as kefir culture, and organic sugar. The drink has a lightly tangy flavor and contains vegan lactic acid bacteria. Four flavors are available: Ginger & Lemon; Butterfly Pea Flower; Grapefruit & Cardamom, and Original.
The range is available from Zebra Plant-Based Grocery Delivery, Not On The High Street, and directly from PiQi Life.
