Alicia Enciso, Floris Wesseling and Pedro Padierna have been appointed to Remilk’s Board of Directors, effective June 22, 2023. The trio have held roles at Nestlé USA, Danone Europe and PepsiCo Mexico respectively and their expertise and guidance is hoped to ‘lend profound access’ to the Israeli start-up.
Enciso most recently served as chief marketing officer at Nestlé USA with a track record of creating high-growth strategies, promoting shifts toward sustainability practices and leading digital and e-commerce transformations. She also sits on the Board of Directors of global spirits company Bacardi.
Wesseling spent 22 years at Danone, most recently as president, Europe and a member of the executive committee. He has also worked in Asia in prior roles at Danone. Announcing his departure from the CPG giant in March 2023, he wrote on LinkedIn: “Moving forward, I'm eager to contribute to the transformation that the consumer goods industry needs to make in order to achieve sustainability goals and contribute to solving global problems.”
Padierna has been an independent board member at Remilk since February 2023. He spent more than three decades at PepsiCo, from being a regional president in Mexico during the 1990s to becoming CEO for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and then CEO of PepsicoMexico. He most recently served as a chairman at the company, a role he completed in August 2018. Remilk hopes Padierna’s experience with government decision-makers would be ‘instrumental’ as the Israeli company looks to secure regulatory approvals around the world.
Commenting on the new appointments, Aviv Wolff, co-founder and CEO of Remilk, said: “We are thankful for the incredible commitment Alicia, Floris and Pedro are making to Remilk and gratified that decorated global leaders from across the food and beverage category are aligned with our mission.
“With guidance from this outstanding Board of Directors, Remilk’s transformative vision can become a global on-shelf reality at the scale and speed required to address a pressing need. It is a true privilege to work alongside the leaders who helped build some of the largest food and beverage companies in the world.”
