Ocheesee Creamery of Florida has won a case against the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which had tried to argue that the milk producer could not label its product as “skim milk” because it did not meet “Grade A” requirements.

Arla to distribute ‘13th payment’

Arla Food’s board of representatives has voted to distribute €124m ($131m) to its farmer-owners as the annual supplementary payment, also known as the 13th payment. On average, that amounts to one eurocent per kilo of milk supplied by each farmer.

The acquisition will give Lait Kaiser a 30,000-square-foot-facility with its own milk run to expand production.
